Built in 1927, Four Winds Inn bed and breakfast boasts five private bedrooms and can provide accommodation for up to ten guests. Each room exudes its own distinctive character and charm, offering guests a cozy retreat amongst the timeless allure of Newfoundland. Ramea Island is located just off the coast of Newfoundland and Labrador. Getting to Ramea Island is an adventure in itself, offering travelers a journey through scenic landscapes and coastal vistas. While it may require a bit of planning, reaching our charming island destination is well worth the effort. Here's how you can make your way to Ramea Island:
From the Airport
From the Deer Lake Regional Airport, you can book a taxi ride with the Burgeo Bus and taxi company that will deliver you directly to the Ferry terminal. From there it's a short 1 hour ferry ride to the Ramea Islands. See "By Ferry" for more information and the ferry schedule.
For budget travellers, you can also book the Burgeo Bus to the Ferry terminal. It runs at 3:00pm weekdays departing from Corner Brook.
By Ferry
The most common way to reach Ramea Island is by ferry. Regular ferry services operate from Burgeo, a town located on the southwest coast of Newfoundland. The ferry journey to Ramea Island offers stunning views of the surrounding islands and coastal scenery, providing a memorable introduction to your island getaway.
